The NY Hands Off Assata Coalition is a collective of organizations and concerned citizens who oppose the United States government’s attempts to imprison freedom fighter and human rights activist Assata Shakur. In recognition that the implications behind this attack are much greater than one person, we are asking for everyone’s participation in this struggle for justice.

To get involved you should:
1) Sign our petition and direct others to this website
2) take every opportunity to talk and educate others about Assata Shakur
3) contact & support the NY Hands Off Assata Coalition or a collective near you
4) organize others in your community, town, church, union, etc…
5) donate money to the NY Hands Off Assata Coaliton

Too many people have accepted being lied to and subdued into the silence of inhumanity... Too few confront injustice and struggle for a humane existence.
